Welcome to the weekly update 👋 This is your one-stop spot for everything happening in our church family. From kids to adults, small groups to special events, here's how you can get connected over the next seven days. TONIGHT: REAL LIFE TAKES THE STAGE AT 9PM! Event lasts from 6–10 p.m. at District Stadium, behind District 142 at 142 N. Main St. in downtown El Dorado. Bring a blanket for the turf or a chair for the street, and enjoy an evening of worship and community. Friday - Sunday, September 25-27 Women’s Retreat happening at PVCC in Ark City. This Sunday, September 27th: Prayer Team: Meets in the Family Room at 9:30a (anyone can join) 10:00am Worship Gathering: Join us for Sunday service in person or online. Kids Ministry: Age-specific programming during the service each Sunday Wednesday, September 30th: Women’s Wednesday morning group meets in the Welcome Center at 10am. Women’s Wednesday evening group meets in the Family Room at 6:30pm. BEMA group meets in the Conference Room at 6:30pm - anyone can join Upcoming Events: HAVERHILL ROAD CLOSURE: closed to through traffic EACH DIRECTION from 5-7:30 am/pm every day until Oct 19. There’s a Place for You God uses spiritual disciplines to make us more like Jesus and form us into a family. When we study, serve and give, we worship God, grow personally and bless others. When you give and serve at Real Life, you help students find friends, kids learn to follow Jesus, babies experience love, and people in person and online find belonging. Serving and giving go beyond filling roles and paying bills. God uses them to shape us and the people we reach. Helping every person possible takes every person present. Where might God be inviting you to step in or step up?Serve at Real LifeGive at Real Life A Yard at a Time This project works out to about $32 per square yard, and we’ll purchase and install the carpet section by section as funds are available. We’re starting with the Fellowship and Family rooms. If you’d like to help, you can give toward one yard, five yards, ten yards—or any amount. Every gift helps us improve the spaces where people gather, worship, learn, build relationships, and follow Jesus together. You’ve given enough to cover 56 square yards! A yard at a time, we can cover a lot of ground.Help Us Cover A Lot Of Ground This Week's Message "Alpha & Omega" Pastor Corey • Revelation 1:4-18 We’re wrapping up the Names of God series this Sunday - John writes Revelation to churches facing pressure, uncertainty, compromise, and fear. He reaches backward into Israel’s Scriptures to help them understand where they are standing and trust God with what they cannot yet see. In Revelation 1, God identifies Himself as the Alpha and Omega, and then John turns and sees the risen Jesus standing among the churches. The One who died and rose is not distant from His people. He knows them, walks among them, and holds the keys of Death and Hades. Because Jesus holds the beginning and the end, we can remain faithful in the middle. As we learn who He is and what it means to live under Jesus’ reign, that invitation becomes personal: Where do I fit, and what does faithfulness look like in my life? On Sunday, October 4, we begin Yes, You: Called for Kingdom Purpose. We’ll explore how Jesus welcomes us into the Father’s family, forms us through daily surrender, and sends us in the Holy Spirit’s power for the sake of others. You Matter. You’re Not Random. You’re Sent. This is the next step in learning to engage: recognizing that our homes, workplaces, schools, and relationships are places where we live out the Gospel together. They currently meet in the Welcome Center but will transition to the Fellowship room once that is completed. Do you have kids involved in Student Life? For a few hours, they enter a place where they are known and reminded that they matter to God. And the first thing they do is sit around the table and share a meal. But it’s more than just feeding their bodies, it’s providing them with a sense of belonging. As they eat they talk, they laugh, they share... and they grow closer together. You don’t have to be in the room to make an impact. You can prepare a meal, join the meal rotation, or give money to help others prepare the meal. When you feed students, you’re not just filling plates—you’re creating space for God to work. Use the link below to provide a meal or contribute financially this school year.Help Create a Place Through a Plate Prayer Team: This may be the most important thing that happens on Sunday mornings. Our prayer team meets at 9:30 in the Family Room and prays for YOU, the Sunday service, our volunteers, staff, guests and for transformation as we strive to look more like Jesus ever day. If you have a prayer request please let us know! For more information email Ray Blanket Ministry Team: Our blanket ministry provides blankets as a physical display of God’s love when needed most. Blankets are donated to those in the hospital or baby blankets are delivered to Branches Pregnancy Centers and other organizations. If you’d like to help make blankets or want info email Jessica Pyle. If you’d like to stop and pray over the blankets we have they are in the Family Room Care Team: Our Care Team meets with individuals following the service who are seeking prayer or wanting to take their next step with Jesus. If you’re good with people and have a heart to pray with and walk with people in that moment when God is stirring in their heart this might be a great ministry opportunity for you. For more information email Terry Cleaning Team: This team helps us create a clean and welcoming environment for our guests and regulars who come to the building each week. A clean church shows our thankfulness for what God has provided and removes stumbling blocks to those we welcome to worship every Sunday and throughout the week. If you’d like to join this group email Corey and we’ll get you the details. We’ve got to fill space for one of our cleaning volunteers for the rest of the year due to a surgery. If you’ve got some time and could help fill the schedule on Nov 15 we’d love to have you! Let Corey know if you can cover the 15th for us. We have a FOOD PANTRY: The Food Pantry is available to anyone at Real Life who may need help with a meal or more between paychecks or when struggling for various reasons. If you’d like to pick up a meal or two (or want to know more about this ministry) let pastor Corey know after the service. Community Prayer Thank you all for the prayers, concern and help last week after Aly went missing. She was found safe and was back home Monday morning. It’s a reminder that everybody’s dealing with something, It may not always be visible and it may not always make sense to others. The Jehner family appreciates your concern, prayers and help in locating Aly. Real Life’s band will be playing about 8 songs this Friday night as part of the Battle of the Praise Bands at Gold Fest ‘26. They’d love to have your support at the event (our band takes the stage at 9p) but more than that would you pray for our musicians and singers? Pray that they play well to honor Jesus and that those who hear would be moved to worship Him.
